UBP Open Books is the open access monograph imprint of the University of Buckingham Press. The press is an independent publisher of wide-ranging academic books and journals. Our mission is to publish meaningful and insightful research and written content and make it available to as wide a global readership as possible.
UBP Open Books was launched in 2021 as a reaction to the increasingly demand for research and other important content to be made openly available to researchers, academics, institutions, corporate companies and other readers worldwide.
All of the Open Books are available through Gold Open Access, which means all content from each book in our catalogue is openly available to read and download as a PDF.
UBP Research Monograph Publishing Service
UBP Open Books has launched its Research Monograph Publishing Service as part of its mission to maximise the high-quality post-graduate research available to as wide a global audience as possible and to democratise access to research for all.
As part of this service current and past post-graduate students receive proofreading, professional typesetting and cover design to publish their book in both Open Access and print formats with availability through UBP Open Books' global academic and distribution network.

Open for General Submissions
UBP is also open to open access monograph submissions, whether a text written by a single author of multi-authored work. UBP's list covers a wide range of subjects and we are looking for evidence-based work that will be peer-reviewed, and which has the potential to make a difference whether addressing global challenges or supporting scientific, social, educational or other activity.
